The state of Washington is the heart of America's Pacific Northwest region. Located along the Pacific coastline just south of the Canadian border, Washington contains many undeveloped and semi-rural areas where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities that include hiking, skiing, golfing, fishing, mountain climbing, canoeing and even scuba diving. For lovers of Cajun cuisine, there are several places across the state that offer authentic Louisiana flavors.

New Orleans Creole Restaurant

Located in downtown Seattle, the New Orleans Creole Restaurant is housed in a historic building in the city's Pioneer Square. The restaurant has a rustic, New Orleans style of decor with exposed brick and eclectic artifacts on the walls.

The menu consists of Cajun favorites like Cajun shrimp, jambalaya and seafood gumbo. The bar serves specialty cocktails like a Cajun martini (made with jalapeno peppers) and a traditional mint julep.

New Orleans Creole Restaurant also has live music nightly, including blues, Dixieland and jazz bands from across the country.
