Enchanted View RV Park
Just outside Elephant Butte Lake State Park, visitors will find the Enchanted View RV Park. The campground is open year-round and has 37 full hookup sites for RVs that include water, sewer and 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric service. There is free wireless Internet access throughout the park, and the clubhouse has Internet terminals, a TV lounge and a game room. Guests will be within walking distance of a downtown shopping area, and there is plenty to keep them busy outside, with local lakes where they can go boating, swimming, fishing or sailing and state parks nearby with many hiking trails. The famous mineral springs of the area are a short drive away.

Elephant Butte Lake State Park
Named for an island in the lake that resembles the animal, Elephant Butte Lake State Park is a very popular destination that contains the largest lake in New Mexico and welcomes over 1 million visitors a year. There are several camping options within the park, as it has 150 full hookup sites for RVs at various campgrounds around the lake, and most of them come with shelters and grills. If bringing along your boat, there are three ramps where visitors can launch it, and exploring the quiet coves and sandy beaches of the lake is a great way to spend a day. Multiple hiking trails wind throughout the park, and fishing, hiking and bird watching are all popular pastimes at Elephant Butte Lake State Park.

Caballo Lake State Park
From Truth or Consequences, a short drive south on I-25 will bring travelers to Caballo Lake State Park where they will find several campgrounds with primitive and full hookup sites for RVs. The Riverside, Palamino and Stallion Campgrounds between them have 135 developed sites, 63 of which have water, sewer and electric hookups. Visitors will also find grills, picnic tables, dump stations and playgrounds around the campgrounds. Surrounded by the picturesque Caballo Mountains, the state park also has a river and large lake where boating, swimming, water skiing, windsurfing and fishing are all popular activities. Guests can explore the park's two cactus gardens, or hike trails where they can see the bald and golden eagles who migrate through this area every fall.
