Rear Derailleur--Model DC-230
This is a short cage derailleur with improvements over its predecessors. To make it stand out, Shimano adorned it with curly patterns. It's made from lightweight aluminum alloy, and has a weight of 190 g.
Front Derailleur--Model EC-630
Creative patterns decorate the outer cage of this front drive train derailleur. Made from lightweight aluminum alloy and chromium finish steel, this part has a weight of 112 g.
Shift Levers--Model LB-630
These lightweight aluminum alloy down-tube shifters have fancy "arabesque" patterns at the tips. The shifters clamp on to the down-tube and hold the gear positions using friction.
Front Chainwheel--Models GC-400, GC-410 and GB-210
This part is a combination of crank arms, chain rings and the bottom bracket. GC-410 has a smaller bolt circle diameter and can accept smaller chain rings. The GC-400 came in 165 mm and 170 mm crank arms, where as the GC-410 only came in 165 mm crank arm length. Both models have crank arm removal using the one key release mechanism and feature the "W Cut" to improve shifting performance. GB-210 is the model number for the three piece bottom bracket.
Hubs--Model HF-300
Low flange hubs with 36 spoke holes and Uniglide cassette available in five or six speeds. The smallest compatible cog has 12 teeth, where as the Dura-Ace hubs allowed for an 11 tooth cog. They are equipped with quick release skewers and a sealed free hub mechanism.
Caliper Brake--Model BB-330
A typical caliper brake of the era made from lightweight aluminum alloy with an anodized finish. The reach from the anchor bolt to brake pad spans from 43 mm to 57 mm and a side pull quick release aids in wheel removal. The front and rear caliper weigh in at 159 g and 157 g, respectively.
Brake Lever--Model MB-230
Nonaerodynamic, lightweight aluminum alloy levers with gum rubber hoods. Designed for drop handlebars, and with a drilled out finish to save weight. One step cable attachment makes life a bit easier. Their total weight as a pair is 209 g.
Headset--Model UB-100
A 1-inch, threaded road bike headset. The cups and lock nut are made from lightweight aluminum alloy, while the cones are steel with a chromium finish. The bearings are sealed with a labyrinth seal to minimize contamination.
