Fishing Lodges on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska

Fishing Lodges on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska
The Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, home to the legendary Kenai River, has some of the best salmon fishing in the state. The river is home to king, red, silver and pink salmon and trophy-size trout. May through July are the best times to fish for king salmon, and it's not uncommon to land a 45-pounder or larger. The world record king salmon was caught on the Kenai River, weighing 97 pounds 4 ounces. A number of deep-sea halibut fishing charters take off from Ninilchik and Homer from May through September.
