Boston is known for many things, snow, baseball, tea parties. One thing that wouldn't come to mind right away is great dining, however, Boston is home to some of the most acclaimed restaurants and chefs. If particularly, you're in the mood for some great dim sum and dumplings, sure you can drive down to Chinatown, but some spots in Cambridge can be just as delicious.

East by Northeast

This cozy Chinese eatery in Cambridge holds only 25 seats for a very intimate dining session. If you are one of the lucky to snag a seat, you'll get a chance to experience their handmade Chinese dumplings, crispy pork belly or authentic noodles served both hot or cold.

Emperor's Garden

Some people call it Emperor's Garden; other may refer to it as Empire's Garden. Despite the confusion in name, there's no confusion that this Chinese restaurant serves up some of the best dim sum in town. Once a theater, this historic building has been renovated to now serve up Cantonese dishes. The downstairs even offers a huge Asian market for stocking up on Chinese treats at home.

Ginger Park

Ginger Park recently underwent a cosmetic face lift and that was not the only change. The restaurant also inherited new chef Patricia Yeo from New York City. New to the menu you'll see things like Wild Boar, Mandarin Pancakes and Tea Smoked Duck. Luckily, there are also a variety of new sake cocktails to choose from to help you wash down those revamped dishes.
