Webb Memorial State Park
Webb Memorial is a peninsula extending about half a mile into Higham Bay and is located right on Boston Harbor, near the Boston Harbor Islands. Kayakers with their own equipment can depart from Hewitt's Cove in Hingham and paddle through to Boston Harbor Islands. Other recreational activities at the park include fishing and picnicking. Kayakers can cast their line or enjoy a picnic at the pavilion, wich is equipped with barbecue grills.

Boston Harbor Islands
Sea kayakers can take island-based kayaking excursions at the Boston Harbor Islands. This is a great way to experience the area's impressive scenery while also learning its history from experienced park rangers and professional kayaking instructors. All tours depart from Grape Island, which is also a popular camping area. Rental kayaks are suitable for all levels, however, two excursions are offered: the 45-minute spectacle cove kayaking for beginners and the two-hour Grape Island tour for more experienced kayakers.

Charles River Locks
Another great paddling route is from Charles River Locks to Boston Harbor. Kayakers can begin at Kendall Square and pass through some of the main sights in the area like the Museum of Science, old locks of the original Charles River Dam, Nashua Street Park and the Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge. For those who prefer guided trips, an instructional tour is also available from Charles River Canoe & Kayak that includes paddling and safety skill instructions. Paddle, personal flotation device (PFD), wetsuit and paddling jacket rentals are provided.
