RV Parks Near Flathead Lake, Montana

Flathead Lake, Montana, is close to Glacier National Park, in the western portion of the state. The lake is fed by the Flathead and Swan Rivers. Visitors to the region can fly-fish, canoe, kayak, hike, rock climb, swim, ski, backpack and find bouldering problems. Grizzly bear, bison, elk, moose and wolves frequently are spotted in the area. RV travelers to Flathead Lake have several options for parks and campgrounds.

Polson/Flathead Lake KOA

The Polson/Flathed Lake KOA is on the southern shores of Flathead Lake. Guests can take advantage of the KOA's location and fish, kayak, canoe, hike and mountain bike right from the campground. The KOA has sites for RVs up to 70 feet in length. There are sewer, water, Wi-Fi and 30- or 50-amp hookups. Bathrooms, showers, picnic facilities, fire rings and a coin-operated laundry are on the grounds for guest use. Pets are allowed if leashed. The KOA extends AAA and Good Sam discounts for members. The 19,000 acre National Bison Range is within a 30-minute drive. Visitors can view the American Bison at the preserve.

Eagle's Nest RV Resort

Eagle's Nest RV Resort offers a variety of amenities to the RV Traveler. There is free Wi-Fi and cable TV access. A coin-operated laundry is on the property as well as bathrooms and hot showers. Picnic tables, fire pits, barbecue grills and playgrounds are available for guest use. RVs of most sizes can be handled at the Eagle's Nest. Water, sewer and 30- or 50-amp connections are at each site. Pets are welcome. Glacier National Park is within an hour's drive. Visitors to the park can rock climb and boulder. Bird-watchers can try spotting golden and bald eagles, trumpeter swans and many species of wild ducks. Bison, elk and grizzly bears can be seen around the region.

Woodsbay Marina and RV Resort

Woodsbay Marina and RV Resort is a small campground with 20 sites for RV travelers. Sites have water, sewer and 30-amp hookups. Pets are welcome. Bathrooms and showers are on the premises for guest use. Boat rentals and fishing charters can be hired at the marina. There is a boat ramp and docks guests are allowed to use. Lake fishing, canoeing and kayak-touring can be done from the campground. River rafting can be found on the Flathead River. Jewel Basin in the neighboring Flathead National Forest is a 15,000-acre area specifically managed for hiking and backpacking. Guests staying at the Woodsbay RV Resort can head to the basin and hike its many trails.
