Walker sits within the Chippewa National Forest, near a large cluster of lakes and park land. Visitors will find many parks that offer camping accommodations--everything from primitive tent camping to resort cabins with marina services. Every campground offers immediate access to the water and a short walk or drive to the trail systems serving the area.

Moonlight Bay Resort

Moonlight Bay Resort includes cabins, campsites, seasonal and primitive sites. Full hookups at the resort come with cable television, and high-speed wireless Internet service is available. The facilities feature a heated outdoor pool, dock slips and rental boats. Paddle boats, canoes and kayaks are offered for use at no charge. Gas, propane and firewood are sold on site, with firewood delivered to your campsite. The park has both a game room and outdoor games areas. The Paul Bunyan Trail System links several smaller trails to create the longest bike trail in the state. Access is within walking distance of the resort. Bike-in and primitive campsites are available along the length of the trail. Hikers and in-line skaters are welcome to use the trail, but not all sections are paved as of 2009.
