Clearwater, Minnesota Campgrounds

Clearwater is located in south-central Minnesota in both Stearns and Wright counties. The city lies at the connection of the Clearwater and Mississippi Rivers. The forested area offers outdoor enthusiasts opportunities for fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and viewing wildlife. Tent campers will not be disappointed in the area's wooded and secluded campsites.

AJ Acres Campground

Located 1 mile outside of Clearwater is the AJ Acres Campground. The 150-acre campground, situated on Dallas Lake, offers campers 195 campsites. Tent campers have many large, wilderness sites set away from RVs, which include water and electric. There are also full hookup sites at the campground. Guests can utilize the campground's recreation hall, bathrooms, showers, camping/bait store and dump station. The campground also has a petting zoo. Canoe, boat and pontoon rentals are available. There is a boat launch for anglers and boaters to fish in Dallas Lake, as well as a fish-cleaning station. The campground is approximately 20 miles from Lake Maria State Park. The park has a boat launch and canoe rentals and more than 20 miles of hiking and biking trails.

St Cloud/Clearwater RV Park

St Cloud/Clearwater RV Park offers campers a wooded setting in which to pitch their tents. The campground has 13 tent sites that include a picnic table and fire ring set away from RVs. Seven tent sites have electric and water and six include water only. There are 96 full hookup campsites at the park. The park has restrooms, showers, a camping store, a dump station,a pool, a mini-golf course, as well as planned activities. Boaters and anglers are approximately 1 mile from the Mississippi and Clearwater Rivers, offering opportunities to catch bass, crappie and walleye.

Clearwater Forest Resort Community

Approximately 10 miles from Clearwater and set on 50 forested acres on the northwest portion of Clearwater Lake is the Clearwater Forest Resort Community. The campground has 89 large campsites that are heavily wooded and include a picnic table, fire ring, electric and water. Tent campers will not have a problem finding a secluded area to camp. The campground has restrooms and showers. Boaters and anglers can utilize the resort's marina, boat launch and boat slips. The 3,100-acre Clearwater Lake offers opportunities for viewing wildlife and catching walleye, bass and crappie. The campground is approximately 15 miles from Lake Maria State Park, offering more opportunities for fishing, boating and hiking.
