Rimrock Lake is in Yakima County, Washington, and is used as a storage reservoir for an irrigation project run by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Surrounded by the Cascade Mountains and the Snoqualmie National Forest, Mount Rainier is close by. Hiking, camping and other outdoor opportunities abound in the many parks. Located off of U.S. Highway 12, Rimrock Lake is a popular spot to catch rainbow trout and kokanee. For those looking for a resort, several are near the lake.

Silver Beach Resort

In operation since 1992, Silver Beach Resort is on the shores of Rimrock Lake and offers camping, a motel and cabins. Motel rooms and cabins are designed to help guests escape from the stresses of urban life--they do not include TVs or telephones. The rooms include a bed and bathroom. Pets are welcome for an extra fee. For those wanting to camp, tent and RV sites are available with water and electrical hookup. A boat launch is on-site for guest use. Visit the Restaurant at Silver Beach for American fare such as hamburgers, milkshakes and french fries. A convenience store is also on the property carrying a variety of sundries and groceries.

Squaw Rock Resort

Squaw Rock Resort is a near Rimrock Lake on the banks of the Naches River. The resort has cabins, motel rooms, tent sites and RV sites. The cabins accommodate two to eight people and include kitchenettes and decks. RV sites include full hookups for power and water. Bathrooms and showers are available for tent campers. The on-site general store offers grocery items, propane, fuel and gift items. A restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner is open seven days a week in the summer, serving homemade pizza, omelets, steak, fish and other items.

White Pass Village Inn

White Pass Village Inn is part of the White Pass Ski Resort, close to Rimrock Lake. The resort offers downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking, fishing, snowboarding and wildlife viewing. Open year-round, rooms include balconies, TV with VCRs and kitchenettes. Guests of the resort can take advantage of the heated outdoor pool, campfire pit and picnic area, horseshoe pit and ski storage areas. During ski season, the ski area serves breakfast and lunch. The on-site lodge serves a full dinner during weekends and holidays. Next to the resort is a grocery store, gasoline station and post office, ensuring you'll have all the supplies you'll need during your stay.
