Directly overlooking the ocean, the Best Western Oceanfront is one of the least expensive hotels on Jacksonville Beach. Internet special room rates started at $98 per night plus tax, as of February 2010, with AAA and AARP discounts available. Swimming, surfing and boating are just steps away on Jacksonville Beach, and beach rentals are available on-site at the hotel.
Best Western Oceanfront prides itself on being a "green hotel." Recycling is available in all rooms and throughout the property, energy-efficient lighting and equipment have been installed, and a linen reuse program is in effect.

When visiting Jacksonville, you might want to give the 14.5-mile Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail-Trail a try. Though primarily used for biking, the trail is also popular for in-line skating, running, hiking, horseback riding and other sports.
