An all-inclusive resort is one in which you pay one price and almost everything is included. This is a choice for people who don't want to pay for accommodations and then have to pull out their wallet every time they eat a meal, order a drink or take in entertainment. This list of resorts will give you a lot of bang for your buck with excellent locations, lodging, service, entertainment and dining all rolled into one price.

Melia Caribe Tropical

Discover the comforts of laying on a hand-carved Balinese bed under a palapa on the beach at this gorgeous all inclusive resort. Envision tropical gardens with replicas of Greek ruins, meandering waterways, picturesque fountains and peacocks wandering through the midst of it all. This all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, offers junior suites, deluxe family junior suites and Royal Service suites. Most offer private balconies or terraces. There's plenty of entertainment and most of it is included in the all-inclusive price, such as unlimited nonmotorized sports, spa, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and gym. There are seven swimming pools, a tennis court and climbing wall. Video game rooms, a casino, live nightly performances and weekly theme parties keep guests entertained. Unlimited breakfast, lunch and snacks, as well as cocktails and drinks, fine dining, hotel taxes, tips and gratuities are all included.

CocoBay

The all-inclusive Caribbean resort of CocoBay is distinguished by its pastel cottages set on a hillside overlooking the turquoise waters and white sandy beach. This resort is set in Antigua, the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda in the West Indies. A wellness cottage offers beauty treatments, massages, aromatherapy, manicures, waxes, body scrubs and pedicures. The tour desk can arrange nightlife, adventure or restaurant excursions. On-site activities include Hobie Cat sailing, kayaking, guided nature walks, manager's cocktail parties, live entertainment (three to four nights weekly) and snorkeling, in addition to the spa.

Azul Beach Resort

A "gourmet inclusive" 97-room hotel, this smaller resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, features four full-service restaurants and a tequila lounge, among its many amenities. Discover Spanish classes, water sports, beach butlers, beach cabanas and dance lessons at this Riviera Maya resort. Offering easy access to Playa del Carmen and Cancun, but seemingly a world's away from the city noise, this resort features four restaurants.

Amansala

Another all inclusive Mayan Riviera resort, Amansala is located in Tulum, Mexico. Enjoy cabana lodging, private bathrooms, salsa dancing, meditation, massages, body treatments and yoga at this healthy alternative to the standard luxury resort. Meals are planned to be both low-fat and organic, but delicious and aesthetically beautiful. Both men and women love this resort because of its "Bikini Boot Camp" health programs designed to get the body in shape.

Almond Beach Village

Non-motorized water sports are often a part of all-inclusive prices.

Spanning more than 32 acres, this beachfront resort is on a former sugar plantation in Heywoods, St. Peter, on the west coast of Barbados. With 395 units, Almond Beach Village offers two-poster beds and rooms with private balconies or patios. Enjoy all types of water sports, from wind surfing to reef fishing. Take in a round of golf or play tennis while the children enjoy the "kids club." Enjoy the variety of restaurants, bars or room service. Complimentary shuttles transport guests to nearby Bridgetown.

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort

Nestled in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, this all-inclusive resort offers water sports such as sailboating, windsurfing and snorkeling (with complimentary use of equipment), beachfront activities and restaurants. Savor lobster or filet mignon every night because these pricier dishes are included in the all-inclusive price. Rooms feature waterfront balconies, within view and easy walking distance of the beach.

Occidental Grand Aruba

Occidental Grand Aruba is nestled on Palm Beach in Aruba, an island in the southern Caribbean Sea. Enjoy the lagoon pool, casino and live entertainment. With six restaurants, ranging from Italian to Caribbean and pan-Asian, you're sure to find something to whet your appetite. Select from 398 rooms and suites with two-poster beds and private balconies, including oceanfront rooms. Water sport rentals are available or you can choose to wile away the hours working on your tan, or taking in a Las Vegas-style show. Six restaurants, five bars, a free-form pool and an on-site casino mean there's always plenty to do, in addition to enjoying the beach.
