Located just south of the stunning majesty of Grand Teton National Park, and a popular stopover for people traveling to Yellowstone, Jackson is a mid-sized town and popular year-round tourist destination. Skiers flock to the challenging steeps of Jackson Hole ski resort, which has one of the largest vertical drops in the U.S. at 4,139 feet; while in the summer, climbers and hikers challenge themselves on the mountains of the Teton range, and paddlers enjoy kayaking the Snake River. Jackson has several RV campgrounds for visitors.
