Campgrounds in Fairmont, British Columbia

Fairmont, British Columbia, Canada, is known for its hot springs. Since the 1800s, visitors have traveled to Fairmont for the hot springs' purported health benefits. In addition to the hot springs, visitors will find hiking opportunities along the Purcell Mountains and white-water rafting on the Columbia River.

Fairmont Hot Springs RV Resort

The resort has over 300 sites, including 217 with 15-, 30- and 50-amp electric hookups. The remaining sites have no hookups. The park has 65 pull-thru spots, cable TV, Internet access, RV supplies and laundry facilities. Amenities also include a swimming pool, mini-golf (for a fee) and bicycle rentals. There are hiking trails close to the resort and paddling at the nearby Columbia River. The resort is open from mid-April to mid-October. Pets are welcome but they must be kept on a leash.

Hoodoo Mountain Resort

The park has 134 sites, including 120 with 30-amp electric and full hookups. There are also small and large cabins for rent. Amenities include laundry facilities, a grocery store and picnic tables. White-water rafting at the Columbia River is nearby, as is fishing at Columbia Lake. The park is open from May 1 and closes on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, which is the second Monday in October.

Spruce Grove Resort

The resort is a short drive from the hot springs at Fairmont. Of the park's 192 sites, 66 have full hookups, 43 have just water and electrical hookups (15 and 30 amps) and the remaining sites have no hookups. There are 12 pull-thru spots, tent camping, laundry facilities, picnic tables, swimming pool and a sports field. The Columbia River is nearby for canoeing and fishing. The park is open year-round, and fully operational between April 15- and Oct. 15.
