Beaufort, South Carolina, is on the state's coast, east of Hilton Head Island. The Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort is within 70 minutes of Beaufort, to the north, and offers a range of services for RV campers. Most sizes of RV can be accommodated at the resort. Full hookups come with each site (30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi.) Pets are welcome, and there is a dog play area for off-leash hijinks. The resort has six tennis courts, a fitness center, hot tub, swimming pool and a golf driving cage. The beaches are within one mile for those seeking water sports and activities.

Point South KOA

For those seeking the comfort of a franchise campground, there is the Point South KOA. The KOA has RV sites for rigs up to 90 feet. Site hookups are the standard water, sewer, cable TV, Wi-Fi and 30- or 50-amp electric. Pets are welcome at the KOA. AAA and Good Sam rates are offered to members. There is a coin-operated laundry, showers, bathrooms and picnicking facility for guests to use on the premises. The beaches are within 15 minutes from the KOA. At the harbors of Hilton Head Island, visitors can book fishing, sailing and boating charters.
