A couple of miles north of the Las Vegas Strip there are several of this area's relaxing and luxurious RV resorts. Large trees often block the sounds of the city, and a waterfall trickling into pools isn't uncommon. You might forget North Las Vegas is one of Nevada's fastest growing cities. Here, the desert valley is surrounded by beautiful mountains and year-round good weather, providing the area an abundance of outdoor activities that can be enjoyed anytime.

The Las Vegas RV Resort is located east of Interstate 515, just south of North Las Vegas. This is a large, luxury RV resort with more than 400 sites that have full hookups. The facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, spa, two separate laundry facilities, a fitness center and large clubhouse. There is Wi-Fi throughout the resort that is free of charge, and propane delivery when needed.

Less than 3 miles from the resort is the Clark County Wetlands Park, which offers a total of 7 miles of hiking trails that can be explored while viewing the wildlife and plant life that are associated with the area.

Located 3 miles south on Interstate 5 from North Las Vegas and just south of the Las Vegas Strip, is the 46-acre Oasis RV Resort with its tropical themes and never-ending schedule of activities. Thousand Trails RV Resort

Although membership is required, the Thousand Trails RV Resorts are known for their resort-style amenities, cottages and gated campgrounds near many of the most popular camping destinations in the country. Las Vegas is no different. Located on the border of North Las Vegas, 6 miles from downtown Las Vegas, this resort offers more than 200 full hookup RV sites and six cabins. The facilities here include Wi-Fi and dial-up Internet access, a family center, a swimming pool, a spa, and general store.

Less than 6 miles northeast from the campground is Frenchman Mountain, a wonderful place to watch the sunset over Las Vegas and the Nevada desert. This 4 mile out-and-back hike is rated moderate to difficult by Trails.com. Remember to bring your flashlight (and the other 10 essentials) for the hike out.
