Pecan Acres RV Park has many shade providing pecan trees, offering an escape from the hot Louisiana Sun. RV lengths of most sizes can be accommodated at Pecan Acres. Standard hookups are available and include water, sewer and 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric. The Sabine National Forest is within an hour's drive where visitors can hike or mountain bike its many trails. Pets are welcome at Pecan Acres. Vernon Lake is to the west by a 30-minute drive where there is bluegill, bass and crappie fishing.

The RV Park at the Hwy 8 Motel offers Wi-Fi, cable TV, water, sewer and electric hookups (20-, 30- and 50-amp available.) Pets are welcome at the RV park. The location is convenient to Lake Vernon, Sabine National Forest, and the Kisatchie National Forest. There are hot showers and bathrooms available for guest use. The Kisatchie National Forest has miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Bird-watchers can try spotting the myriad species of song-birds, birds-of-prey, and migratory species. Alligators, javelinas, possum, and black bear can be seen on occasion.
