Mexico Beach is very close to Panama City, Florida and sits in the panhandle along the Gulf of Mexico. This small town of just over 1,000 residents, according to the 2000 U.S. Census report, is a water sports haven. Many of the lodgings are snuggled up close to the beach and found surrounding the town. The town is near Port St. Joe where charter fishing, boating, diving and sailing can be found.

Buena Vista Motel

The Buena Vista Motel is nestled right along side the beach with two beach bars within walking distance. Water sports are abound at Mexico Beach with skiing, boating, charter fishing and just relaxing along the beach is all available just down the street or out the front door of the motel. The rooms come with cable television, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and there is wireless Internet. The Gulf Foods grocery and seafood restaurant is across the street while Sharon's Breakfast Cafe is just one block away.

Tiki Palms Inn

The Tiki Palms Inn is just a walk down the beach from the Mexico Beach fishing pier and the beaches of Cape San Blas. This small bed and breakfast offers six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a television room with cable, a dining room, three kitchens and three living areas. The inn provides a full breakfast to its guests and has afternoon tea for those weary vacationers to relax and enjoy. The Apalachicola Maritime Museum or fishing for 20 lb. catfish in the Apalachicola River are both located nearby.

Beacon Hill Beach Cottage

The Beacon Hill Beach Cottage overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and guests can walk out the front door and onto the beach. The cottage has two-bedrooms and one bath along with cable television, full kitchen with supplies, but does not have a washer and dryer. If water is what guests enjoy there is para-sailing, jet ski rental and horseback riding easily accessible. Just a walk down the beach guests will find a host of seafood restaurants and Tiki bars with beach parties going on all the time.
