Portland Saturday Market
The largest weekly outdoor arts and crafts market, the Portland Saturday Market provides aisle after aisle of unique art, clothing, food and crafts. Open March through December, rain or shine, it takes place at the heart of historic Old Town, and provides a variety of performers and an exotic food pavilion. Each visitor who purchases $25 or more is eligible to receive a free TriMet ticket or two hours of validated parking at any Smart Park garage.

The Grotto
Situated near the heart of the city, The Grotto is a 62-acre botanical garden, which offers a place of quiet reflection. Full of reflection ponds, award-winning architecture and walking or cycling paths, it is an ideal escape from the bustling city. The gardens and gift shop are open daily throughout the year, though hours vary on the season. Group tours can be arranged, and the park features a daily Mass.

International Rose Test Garden
Guests can visit one of the world's largest and oldest rose gardens in the country all at no charge. Just a few minutes from downtown in the Washington Park neighborhood, there are more than 7,000 bushes, as well as unique panoramic city views. Open every day, 12 months a year, the best time to stop by is early evening in the summer months, when it is the least crowded. Additional rose gardens are available around the city, but are smaller than the International. The Peninsula Park Rose Garden offers more than 6,000 bushes in the northern end of Portland, and Ladd's Addition Garden offers 3,000 plants for visitors.
