Leakey, west of San Antonio, is sometimes called "the Swiss Alps of Texas" because of its hills. If you're staying in the Leakey area, you can enjoy dramatic geologic formations and plenty of river-based recreation, both in camp and nearby. If you're traveling west, you may want to see the undeveloped Kickapoo Cavern State Park.
