Garland, Texas, is home to more than 2,500 acres of park land and sits close to two large lakes: Lake Ray Hubbard and Lavon Lake. Most of the campsites serving the area are clustered around Lavon Lake, providing exceptional opportunities for many forms of boating and waterborne recreation.

East Fork Park Campground

East Fork Campground is located on the south end of Lavon Lake, 12 miles northeast of Garland. This campground offers 50 sites with partial hookups. Tent and RV sites, group camping and equestrian sites are available with accompanying restrooms and shower facilities. A dump station is provided for RV campers. A swimming beach, playground, volleyball and horseshoes are all supplied on the grounds. The campground gives visitors access to multiple boat docks and ramps serving Lavon Lake, and a marina is found off the east dock. Travelers can avoid a launch fee by paying to stay at the campground and having their base of operations right on the water.

The campground has mostly paved roads and a gate with an attendant. Restrooms, showers and a dump station are strategically placed in the park to accommodate guests' needs. A boat dock and two launch ramps serve Lavon Lake. Clear Lake Park closes during the winter months, but the south boat ramp is open all year. Travelers who pay for their campsite do not have to pay a launch fee to head out for sailing or skiing.
