Hahira, Georgia Campgrounds

Hahira, Georgia, is a small town north of Valdosta and west of the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. The area campgrounds offer plenty of extras for travelers--from rental equipment to explore the out-of-doors to Wi-Fi service. Most include outdoor recreation right on the park grounds.

Reed Bingham State Park

Reed Bingham State Park, 17 miles north of Hahira, has 46 tent and RV campsites with cable hookups. A laundry facility is provided for campers. Bicycles, canoes and kayaks are available for rent. A dock, three boat ramps and a swimming beach are supplied on the lake and the park offers access to the Little River. The grounds include seven miles of hiking trails and miniature golf and the park hosts many events. Volunteers are accepted to help with gopher tortoise research. These and several other rare wildlife examples are present on the property.

Valdosta/Lake Park KOA

Lake Park KOA sits 26 miles south of Hahira. The park is located in an area surrounded by a number of lakes and ponds and offers RV and tent camping sites. Big rigs can be assured of pull-through sites up to 70 feet in length. Free cable and wireless Internet service are provided. YMCA access is complimentary to guests of the KOA. The property contains a pond and pool. A deli and snack bar are located on-site and guests can buy firewood and LP gas and rent bikes from the staff. Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area offers wetlands and diverse habitats that support a large number of bird species. Guests can canoe a trail through the area or visit at night to hear the unique sounds of local creatures. The WMA includes a boardwalk, observation tower, hiking and biking trails about 25 miles north of the KOA.

Amy's RV Park

Amy's RV Park includes 55 sites with pull-through access and full hookups. These sites also have Wi-Fi service and cable television options. Other back-in and pull-through sites with partial hookups are available, along with five tent camping spots. Families and their pets are equally welcome. Amy's provides a laundry room and propane service on-site. A swimming pool and bath house, pond and large field are offered on the grounds, 32 miles north of Hahira. Reed Bingham State Park is 16 miles from Amy's, putting guests in reach of hiking trails and boating opportunities.
