Hallettsville is located between Houston and San Antonio. The small town is surrounded by communities of German and Czech heritage, making it a haven for cultural festivals honoring those countries. The area campgrounds, while not packed with amenities, provide a solid base from which to further explore the region.

Knights of Columbus Hall

The Hallettsville Knights of Columbus have an area for RVs and campers offering full hookups. The sites are available any time of the year, and guests can pay for a nightly or monthly stay. Reservations are handled through the Knights of Columbus Hall by email or by phone. A stay at the Hall lot places travelers at the heart of the action when one of the many local events take place in the Hall. For a day trip, Palmetto State Park is 45 miles west of Hallettsville. The park is adjacent to the San Marcos River and has a small lake. Rent a pedal boat or canoe, hike the park trails, swim or go tubing.
