Sukhothai, Thailand, one of the oldest cities in Thailand, is considered to be the first Thai Kingdom since it gained its independence from the Khmer Empire in 1238. This ancient city is approximately six hours from Bangkok and is nestled in the Khao Luang mountains. This region in Northern Thailand offers trails for hiking, as well as facilities for camping. The hotels in Sukhothai reflect the tranquility and respect for tradition that is prevalent in Thailand.

Legendha Sukhothai Resort

The design of the Legendha Sukhothai Resort resembles an old Thai village. The hotel itself provides its guests with a tranquil atmosphere and amenities such as Thai massage services, guest laundromat and an on-site restaurant, Niam Khang, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has indoor and outdoor seating. The guestrooms at Legendha feature a wardrobe, refrigerator, sofa bed and separate shower and bath tub. The hotel is located near the Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO Heritage Site that features paths for nature walks and cycling. Legendha is less than 30 minutes from Sri Satchanalai National Park, which features caves and trails for hiking. The park is also home to the Tart Duan and Tart Dao Waterfall.

Sukhothai Heritage Resort

The Sukhothai Heritage Resort is adjacent to Sukhothai Airport and is located near the Yom River. This body of water provides opportunities for fishing and boating excursions. You can also take walks or cycle on paths that are located on the rice fields that surround Sukhothai Heritage Resort. This boutique hotel provides its guests with amenities such as two swimming pools, a library, travel booking service for local attractions and on-site restaurants, Lotus Restaurant and Sala Sukhothai, which offers special themed nights and buffets that feature authentic Thai cuisine.
