Cruising is one of the most popular and economical ways to travel ; you generally pay one price and meals, transportation and lodging are included. Cruising is an excellent way to travel with kids. Carnival Cruise Line calls themselves "the fun ships", and they strive to live up to their reputation. Most Carnival ships have multiple pools, some with gigantic waterslides. Three different age-specific kid clubs are on every Carnival ship, and they accept children from age 2 to 17. Activities include video game competitions, talent shows, outdoor movies, arts and crafts, shore excursions and more.

Carnival has great activities programs for adults too. Each ship has several lounges, a spa, a sports deck, live Broadway-caliber shows and a casino. Carnival ships travel the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Alaska, Mexico, Alaska, Europe and Hawaii.

Royal Caribbean International

With the launch of its new mega-class ship, Oasis of The Seas, Royal Caribbean brings cruising to a new level. This ship features a floating lounge, a park with real grass, a carousel, a water park for kids, miniature golf, zip lining and a theater with ice shows. Kids have an arts and crafts workshop, disco, lounge and science lab especially for them. While other Royal Caribbean ships may not have as many amenities, all have wonderful kid programs. Royal Caribbean sails to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Alaska, Europe, and just about anywhere else in the world where there's an ocean.

Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises offers kids and teens from 3 to 17 a selection of "funtivities", including cooking lessons, karaoke, video games, pizza parties and even a casino night. Kids are invited to two kid-only dinners and have special shore excursions just for them. Teens even have a special jacuzzi and sun deck area just for them. Parents have a choice of activities including live shows, fine dining, spa and fitness centers and casino action.
