Forest City, Arkansas, is located next to the Mississippi River and close to Elvis Presley's Graceland. Visitors to Forest City can enjoy fishing, boating and kayaking on Lake Dunn and Lake Austell. They will find also find several RV parks near area attractions.

Village Creek State Park

Village Creek State Park offers 96 campsites with water and electric hookups. A bathhouse and dumping station are available on-site. Guests may enjoy kayaking and fishing on pristine Lake Dunn. Pedal-boat rentals are available. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the sandy beach or in the covered picnic area. Golf enthusiasts may enjoy the Andy Dye Golf Course and Driving Range that is inside the park. There are six hiking trails in the park that offer guided tours. One trail covers over the remaining parts of the historic Trail of Tears. Special campsites that have horse-wash and -tie poles are available for guests with horses. Village Creek State Park offers 25 miles of horseback riding and mountain-biking trails.

Shell Lake Campground

Shell Lake Campground offers campers water, sewer and electric hookups. The campground also has free wireless Internet and a picnic area. Guests may swim in the heated pool or in Shell Lake. This pet-friendly campground also has a playground for younger guests. While staying at Shell Lake Campground, guests can visit the St. Francis County Museum or the Historic William Stone House located in Forest City. Nearby is also the Great River Road National Scenic Byway. This paved path is a series of trails and highways that stretch for 363 miles parallel to the Mississippi River. Along the path can be seen ruins of ancient Native American sites and steamboats on the river.

KOA West Memphis

The KOA West Memphis offers guests RV sites with electric and water hookups. A swimming pool, horseshoe pit and basketball court are available. Other amenities include a game room, that offers board games as well as video games, and a dog playground. Daily pancake breakfasts and bingo events are open to guests free of charge. The Rock 'n' Soul Museum and Elvis Presley's Graceland are nearby.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park offers RV sites with water, electric and sewer hookups. Free wireless Internet, coin-operated laundry and nature trails are just a few of the amenities. This park is pet-friendly and located right on the river's edge. The National Civil Rights Museum is a 15-minute drive away in Memphis, Tennessee. For additional fun swimming, basketball and roller skating are available at the Larry S. Bryan Sports Complex.
