Spirit Lake Marina and RV Park

Nestled in the Northwoods on the St. Louis River, just upstream from Lake Superior, this unique park offers a waterfront setting for both boating and RV enthusiasts. Offering 100 boat slips and 45 pull-through RV sites, all with water and electrical hook-ups, the marina provides an excellent starting point for exploring land or water. Within 500 feet of the marina lies the Western Waterfront Trail. Surfaced with crushed limestone, the five-mile trail winds along the river's edge through cattail marshes and offers hikers a prime view of waterfowl and wildlife. Additionally, the marina lies just an hour from the famous Boundary Water Canoe Area where one can spend a lifetime exploring the wonders of nature.

Fond du Lac campground & boat landing

On the beautifully historical St. Louis River and adjacent to the state-run Alex Laveau Bike Route, Fond du Lac offers a gorgeous setting with pull-through sites for RV or tent camping. Next door to beautiful Grove City Park, and just three miles from Jay Cooke State Park with its famous suspension bridge, seemingly endless trails await for all levels of hiking and bird-watching enthusiasts. Additionally, a fishing pier is ready and waiting for those who prefer to relax and try their luck at catching Minnesota walleye. Hot showers and flush toilets are available, and several of the camp sites include a dock with boat tie-up. Please note that no reservations or credit cards are accepted at the campground.

Snowflake Nordic Center

For winter-loving outdoor enthusiasts, Snowflake offers a full-service cross-country skiing facility. With miles of expertly groomed trails, ski lessons for the entire family, a biathlon range and a warm chalet, skiers of all levels are welcome. During warmer months, the ski trails transform into nine miles of hiking trails. Snowflake is a tent-only campground featuring 25 secluded wooded tent sites with fire rings, tables, restrooms, and showers. Prepare to listen to the sounds of the Northwoods wilderness as you relax in your sleeping bag under the clear Minnesota sky. Moose, eagles, bears, and wolves can all be spotted up in the heart of Duluth on Snowflake's 180 acres of beautiful countryside. No reservations are required.
