Texas Hill Country is a destination of choice for snowbirds and vacationers. Medina is in the heart of it and near Bandera, the "Cowboy Capital of the World," where you can watch a shoot-out or roping exhibition most weekends. In the area, year-round creeks and the Medina River provide fishing, swimming, paddling, hiking and abundant wildlife. If you love the area enough to make it home, check out El Viaje RV Retreat, a with-it, over-55 community.
