Three miles from Medina town center, Hill Country RV Resort and Event Center rents RV spaces, cabins and two-bed camping shelters. Present services include back-in and pull-through sites with 30 and 50 amps, cable TV, Internet, restrooms, showers, laundry, lodge, exercise room, Texas-shaped pool with Jacuzzi and developed trails. It accepts daily, weekly and monthly rentals from November through April and rent is available May through October. Smoking is prohibited indoors in public areas. The Medina River flows along the property. Plans for the near future include baseball, basketball, tennis and playground facilities, restaurant, tent sites and a convenience store.

Fewer than 25 miles from Medina is a public park with swimming, fishing and 40 miles of bike, hiking and horse trails. The place closest to Medina where visitors may pitch a tent, the campground provides primitive campsites with pit toilets and no showers.
