Campgrounds in Lake Mead, Nevada

The Lake Mead National Recreation Area sits on the border between southern Nevada and northwestern Arizona. The desert lake offers visitors opportunities for fishing, camping, boating, swimming, hiking, and sightseeing. The massive lake is a popular recreation area and can be extremely crowded on national holidays. Despite the occasional crowds, the lake is large enough that you can find privacy year-round.

Boulder Beach Campground

The Boulder Beach Campground is open year-round and has 154 sites with a 30-day limit. It has fresh water, toilets, tent sites, and RV spaces with hookups for water, sewer, and electric. The campground is in the Boulder Basin area of Lake Mead.

Callville Bay

Calville Bay is another campground in the Boulder Basin region of the lake. The campground has drinking water, a dump station, trash bins, restrooms, a comfort station, and hiking trails. It has tent sites and RV sites with hookups for water, sewer, and electric. Eighty sites are available with a 30-day limit.

Echo Bay

Located in the Overton Arm of Lake Mead, this campground has 166 sites with a 30-day limit. It has a dump station, restrooms, trash bins, and handicapped sites. Tent sites and RV sites are available, and RV sites have hookups for water, sewer, and electric. The location is close to a marina and is ideal for boaters, anglers, and swimmers.

Las Vegas Bay

The Las Vegas Bay campground, located in the Boulder Basin area, has 89 sites with a 30-day limit. The campground has hose bibs, handicapped sites, two comfort stations, and trash bins. The park is ideal for tent campers and has access to the Bluffs Trail. It is also within walking distance of a fishing pier.

Temple Bar

The Temple Bar campground has 153 sites in the east Lake Mead area. It has hose bibs, comfort stations, trash bins, a sanitation station, handicapped sites, and an amphitheater for events. Tent and RV sites are available, and RV sites have hookups for water, sewer, and electric. The campground is within a short walk of the lake and is ideal for boating, fishing, and swimming.
