Schulenburg is a small town in eastern Texas that is right off of Interstate 10. The town is surrounded by Texas farmland and cattle and is known for its painted churches. Nearby major cities include Houston, San Antonio and Austin. For those who are traveling through there are several campgrounds for recreational vehicles either in Schulenburg or in the surrounding area.

Schulenburg RV Park

Located in Schulenburg, the Schulenburg RV Park has 45 pull-through campsites. These sites can accommodate long recreational vehicles and have full hookups. Among the amenities offered at the campground include a laundry facility, barbecue grill, a pet walking area, a basketball court, restrooms, showers, a recreation hall and picnic tables.

Columbus KOA Campground

East of Schulenburg is the Columbus KOA Campground. Also off of Interstate 10, the campground has 51 RV campsites with full hookups and can fit a vehicle up to 90-feet long. Telephone service is available and free Wi-Fi internet access is provided. There is a meeting room with a kitchen and a patio area on site. Firewood and propane gas also can be purchased on site.

Flatonia RV Ranch

Another RV campground off of Interstate 10 is the Flatonia RV Ranch. Located west of Schulenburg, the Flatonia RV Ranch has 42 campsites on the property with full hookups that can also accommodate slide-out vehicles. The ranch has restrooms, a laundry facility, propane, a fishing pond with a pier, Wi-Fi internet access, a clubhouse and is pet-friendly.

Suncatcher RV Park

North of Schulenburg is the Suncatcher RV Park. The park has 27 campsites with full hookups available, and many that can handle pull-through vehicles. Facilities include showers and restrooms, a laundry room, a community room, a fully equipped kitchen, dump station and a horseshoe-throwing pit.

Colorado Landing RV and Mobile Home Community

Another RV park north of Schulenburg is the Colorado Landing RV and Mobile Home Community. Located by the Colorado River, the park has 50 campsites with full hookups. Each site has electricity, water and sewer services, cableTV, picnic tables and Wi-Fi internet access. Colorado Landing also has a swimming pool, propane, storage for recreational vehicles, a washer and dryer, showers and restrooms.
