The River Cafe
Since 1977, The River Cafe has drawn a host of visitors excited to dine in the shadows of the Brooklyn Bridge. The restaurant has been the setting in a number of films and commercials as well as many television shows. The three dining areas include the Terrace Room, Deck, and Dining Room, each with incredible waterfront views of the city and bridge. The menu features creative selections of modern cuisine using fresh ingredients with set pricing. You can choose from dishes like the crisp duck breast with white truffle honey and fennel pollen glaze served with a duck leg and potato croquette, organic carrots and julienned bok choy, or the vegetarian risotto with seasonal vegetables and creamy Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Even the fantastic presentations are something to behold, including an awesome dessert with a bridge made of chocolate. Eating here can be a bit pricey, so this is a good special occasion spot. You can also take advantage of the special lunch menu, which offers three courses at an affordable price.

Convivium Osteria
Convivium replicates authentic western Mediterranean Europe with traditionally decorated dining areas serving organic produce and naturally raised meats. You will feel like you have been welcomed into a home in old-world Spain, Italy or Portugal with the pots and pans hanging on the walls, rustic brick and wood-paneled walls and vintage household items about. The savory menu includes dishes such as whole prawns roasted with sea salt, green apple and cinnamon ravioli served with a duck ragu and roasted pine nut-crusted rack of lamb with cauliflower and a port wine sauce. You can expect moderate pricing here, but it is reasonable when considering the high-quality ingredients used.
