Campgrounds Near Medina, Texas

Medina is in southcentral Texas about 70 miles from San Antonio. Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing and boating at Lake Medina Highlands and the Medina River. Other attractions in the area include the Alamo, Six Flags and Frontier Times Museum. RV parks and campgrounds are in town with many activities to keep you busy when you aren't out exploring.

Koyote Ranch Resort

Koyote Ranch Resort is in Medina, Texas, northwest of San Antonio. On-site benefits include a camp store, restaurant, events area, commons area with water and electricity, and bar. There are several options for fun at the park such as billiards, swimming in the outdoor pool and walking trails. Tent sites include fire pits, picnic tables, full hook-ups, 20- through 50-amp electricity, satellite TV and phone service. Pull-throughs are also available.

By the River RV Park & Campground is in Kerrville, Texas, north of Medina, and near sites such as the caverns of Sonora, the Alamo and SeaWorld. On-site features include a laundry room, bathrooms, picnic area with grills and Wi-Fi. Fun at the park includes swimming in the outdoor pool, walking the camp trails, swimming, fishing and canoeing. RV and tent sites are available.

Cowboy Capital Campground

Cowboy Capital Campground is east of Medina in Pipe Creek, Texas. There are several nearby attractions, such as rodeos, the Medina River and Hill Country State Natural Area. Features of the park include horse pastures, bathhouses, laundry facilities, restrooms and newspaper delivery. Both RV and tent sites are available with picnic tables and fire pits. Some tent spaces come with water and electrical hookups.
