Clear Lake, Washington, is both a small town and lake in Skagit County. Both are near the coastal temperate rain forest of western Washington. Visitors to the area can enjoy sea-kayaking along the coast and San Juan Islands, hiking in the Cascades and Olympic Mountains, and fly-fishing in the rivers and streams of the region. RV travelers to the Clear Lake area have options for parks and campgrounds.

Burlington/Anacortes KOA

Burlington/Anacortes KOA has sites for RVs to 70 feet. There are back-in and pull-through sites. Standard hookups of 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and Wi-Fi come with each site. The KOA offers guests use of hot showers, private toilets, laundry facilities, barbecue grills, fire rings, guest house and a dump station. Pets are welcome but must be leashed. The Padilla Bay Interpretive Center is within 30 minutes. Visitors to the center can learn about the area's flora and fauna. Whale-watching charters can be hired in Padilla Bay.

Thousand Trails - Mt. Vernon

Thousand Trail's Mt. Vernon facility offers over 200 RV sites for large and small rigs. Each site has water and 30- or 50-amp electric hookups. Game and recreation rooms, a laundry room, barbecue sites, playgrounds, hot showers and private toilets are on the premises. Clear Lake is within a 20-minute drive. Visitors to the lake can fish, canoe, swim and kayak. Pets are allowed. The Cascade Mountains are omnipresent, providing a backdrop of mountain scenery. Hiking trails such as the Cascade Head Trail are within an hour's drive of the campground.

Fidalgo Bay Resort RV Park

Visitors to the Clear Lake area wishing to stay on saltwater and enjoy the sea-based activities can opt for the Fidalgo Bay Resort RV Park. Situated in neighboring Anacortes, approximately 30 minutes from the town of Clear Lake, Fidalgo offers RV sites on the bay. There are sites for most sizes of RV. Hookups include water, sewer, 30- or 50-amp electric and Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome. There are showers, bathrooms and a laundry room. Orca watching tours into the San Juans can be booked in the harbor. Sea-kayakers can go in the water from the campground and paddle the rocky coastline, keeping an eye out for seals, sea lions, herons, eagles and orcas.
