Down to Earth Cottages

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Down to Earth Cottages are exactly what their name suggests: three comfortable, rustic cabins perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or a longer family vacation. All of the cabins overlook a mountain stream that runs through the property, and you can pick organic vegetables and herbs to grill for dinner from the gardens all around the property. The cabins here are fully furnished with full kitchens and bathrooms. The Chalet, perhaps the grandest of all that they offer, has a spiral staircase leading to the bedroom loft and a skylight, and both the Chalet and the Creekside Cottage are filled with colorful light from multiple stained-glass windows. Down to Earth Cottages has kayaks and canoes for visitors to explore the local waters, and there are plenty of biking and hiking trails located nearby.

Rushing Water Cabins

Rushing Water Cabins is located in a heavily forested area just a few minutes' drive from downtown Brevard. Steel Creek meanders through the property and three of the cabins sit alongside it. The four cabins available at Rushing Water are rustic, but with modern amenities like TVs, fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens, heat and air-conditioning. The largest house on the property is an historic farmhouse built in 1850 called the Samuel Lance House. It has been completely restored, and it sleeps up to eight people. Rushing Water Cabins offers special deals on large gatherings like weddings, family reunions or business retreats, but call far in advance to reserve the space.
