Morgan City, Louisiana, is about 70 miles west of New Orleans. People go there for recreational activities such as canoeing, swimming, hunting and boating. The city is also known for its Cajun cuisine, as well as for its abundant fishing lakes and bayous. Morgan is on the banks of the Atchafalaya River and is also home to the largest swamp in the United States, the Atchafalaya Basin, or Atchafalaya Swamp. Many RV Parks can be found in the area.

Cypress Lake RV Resort

Cypress Lake RV Resort is a 20-acre park on the lake, with full-hookup RV sites and 30/50-amp service. Other amenities include a heated swimming pool, laundry facilities, canoe rentals, golf carts and a boat dock. Fishing is available on-site as well as a fish-cleaning station. Aside from fishing, boating and canoeing, other activities include hiking, bicycling and wildlife viewing.

Kemper-Williams Park

Kemper-Williams Park is near the Atchafalaya Basin and offers tent and RV sites with amenities such as full hookups, 30/50-amp service, big-rig access, pull-through sites and wireless Internet access. The camp also features local swamp tours, horseshoes and a playground. The popular Atchafalaya Golf Course is next to the campground. The Satsuma farm is four miles away, and the Wedell-Williams Memorial Aviation Museum is four miles away.

Lake End Park

Lake End Park offers RV sites and tent sites with many amenities, including boat-launch ramp, boat slips, sandy swim beach, laundry facilities, playground, nature walks and picnic shelters. RV sites have full hookups with 30/50-amp service. Activities on-site include fishing and swimming. Campers have access to interconnected waterways for boating and fishing. For bass fishing, boaters can access Bayou Boeuf, Flat Lake, Lake Verret, Six Mile Lake and Lower Atchafalaya River, among many others.
