The village of Margaretville, New York is located on the East Branch of the Delaware River approximately 40 miles from the Pennsylvania border. Visitors and outdoor enthusiasts fall in love with the small town feel and natural beauty with the picturesque views of the surrounding Catskill Mountains. Visitors can find many attractions throughout the area including museums, farmer's markets, boutiques and live theaters to add to a fun filled day of rafting, hiking, fishing or golfing.

Catskill Park

This massive park covers four counties and is home to the Catskill Forrest Preserve, which contains 286,000 acres of land. At Catskill Park, visitors can find many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, camping and skiing to name just a few. The skyline is breathtaking with views of the 98 mountain peaks elevated up to 3,000 feet. Information about this park is available on the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Meadows Golf Center

Those who crave a game of golf, the Meadows is a great place to go. Here visitors can find a nine-hole course, driving range with natural and synthetic grass for up to 25 golfers and an 18-hole miniature golf course with fun obstacles for the whole family. They can also feast on authentic Texas barbeque sandwiches and platters and pick up the latest gear, have something repaired or take a lesson or two at the Pro Shop.

The Open Eye Theater

The Foundation for The Open Eye, Inc. is a non-profit founded in 1972 by dancer/choreographer Jean Erdman and her husband Joseph Campbell. Their mission has been to educate both children and adults in theater arts and the nationally recognized Open Eye Theater is the local performing venue. Guests can enjoy wonderful plays and musicals after a day out put on by the aspiring actors occasionally featuring professional guest artists and playwrights.

McIntosh Auction Service and McIntosh Country Market

Antique lovers will find a variety of unique items at the auction at McIntosh Country Market including household, estate items and antique guns. Buyers are able to preview the items one hour before the auction with an ID required. Visitors can pay with cash, checks and all major credit cards with a 3 percent buyer fee for credit purchases.
