Hofbrauhaus Pub & Restaurant
Just 10 miles west of York in the small town of Abbottstown, the Hofbrauhaus is one of the most authentic German restaurants you will find in Pennsylvania. The decor is chockful of German flair, from gnome statues to decorative beer steins. In the back of the main dining room is a stuffed bear, adding to the Black Forest feel to the place. The menu includes schnitzels and sausages, but also some German entrees, including Sauerbraten, which is beef marinated in vinegar and spicy brine, plus Fricadellen, a dish of pan fried meatloaf patties.
