Campgrounds at Sunset Beach, North Carolina

Sunset Beach, North Carolina, is the smallest of three barrier islands that make up the South Brunswick Islands. Visitors enjoy its white sandy beach, sand dunes and abundant wildlife including the loggerhead sea turtle and wood storks. Local attractions include the Ingram Planetarium, Calabash and Bird Island. Campgrounds can be found in Sunset Beach and within its surrounding area.

Shallotte / Brunswick Beaches KOA

This KOA accommodates RVs, cabins and tent sites with amenities such as full hookups, 100-amp service and cable TV. Pull-thorough sites are available with a maximum length pull through of 90 feet. Other amenities include swimming pool, firewood supply and bicycle rental. Activities on-site include fishing, swimming, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball. Local attractions include Myrtle Beach, which is about 30 minutes from Sunset Beach.

Seamist Camping Resort

Sea Mist's offers scenic views of the Shallotte Inlet and Ocean Isle Beach. This campground has 250 tent and RV sites with full hookups, laundry facilities, swimming pool, picnic area and boat ramp. Activities on site include swimming, bicycling, volleyball, basketball and horseshoes. There is a camp store available for guests. Sea Mist is only 10 minutes from Ocean Isle Beach.

Myrtle Beach Travel Park

Myrtle Beach Travel Park is an oceanfront campground with a 17-acre freshwater lake stocked with bass and bream. Tent sites and RV sites are available with amenities such as laundry facilities, heated indoor pool, playground and recreational areas, grocery store, picnic tables, cable TV and wireless Internet access. RV sites have full hookups with 50-amp service. The camp has a half-mile of sandy beach for guests to enjoy. Aside from swimming and fishing, other activities include exploring the Grand Strand area (about 10 miles) for many attractions including more types of fishing such as pier, inlet, deep-sea, Gulf Stream and freshwater.
