The Grand Canyon is a popular getaway destination, and, for many, a trip of a lifetime. Outdoor recreation abounds at the Grand Canyon. Hiking, horse-back riding, canyoneering, rock climbing, bouldering, and caving are all options in the region. Outdoor photographers can take photos of the red rock and canyon country, with a seemingly endless array of vistas, and landscapes to photograph. RV travelers to the region have several options for campgrounds and RV parks.

Grand Canyon Camper Village

Grand Canyon Camper Village is within 15 minutes of the Grand Canyon, and only 45 minutes from portions of the Kaibab National Forest. Mountain bikers can enjoy the trails in the Kaibab, and hikers can hike down the Grand Canyon on the numerous trails in the national park. RV travelers staying at the Grand Canyon Camper Village can choose sites that have water, sewer, and 30- or 50-amp electric connections. Large and small rigs can be accommodated. Pets are allowed if leashed. There are showers, bathrooms and picnicking facilities on the premises for guest use.

Williams/ Exit 167/Circle Pines KOA

Visitors to the Grand Canyon area can enjoy the convenient location of the Williams/Exit 167/Circle Pines KOA. Within easy drives of both the Grand Canyon National Park, and parts of the Kaibab National Forest, outdoor recreation enthusiasts can base-camp out of the KOA. The campground can accommodate most sizes of RVs with pull-through or back-in sites. Water, sewer, cable TV and 30- or 50-amp electric connections come standard at each RV site. AAA and Good Sam club discounts are available. Pets are allowed. There are bathrooms, showers and a coin-operated laundry for guests to use.

Canyon Motel and RV Park

The Canyopn Motel and RV Park offers RV sites for large and small RVs. A Ponderosa Pine forest surrounds the campground, making it a peaceful and quiet RV park. Site hook-ups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. The Canyon Motel and RV Park is a Wi-Fi hotspot. Pets are welcome, but should remain leashed while in the park. Guests have access to hot showers, private toilets, picnic tables and fire rings, barbecue stations, and a dump station. Elk are frequently spotted in the woods surrounding the Canyon Motel and RV Park. There are hiking trails in the area, as well as mountain biking. Enjoy river rafting at Grand Canyon National Park.
