Dothan is in the southeastern corner of Alabama, near the borders of both Georgia and Florida. The area RV parks are clustered around the parks and recreation sites of the region, including the complex at Fort Rucker. Each RV park offers a range of amenities, from a quiet outdoor setting to Wi-Fi service.

Pecan Point RV Park

What was once Clean Park is now Pecan Point. The park has pull-through sites with shade trees, and pets are welcome to join you. Most of the sites have concrete patios and full hookups. The office has wireless Internet service and it is planned for the whole park, along with a new activity center. Lake Tholocco--at Fort Rucker, 20 miles north of Dothan-- has swimming, boating and water-skiing. The swimming area includes a water trampoline and water slides for both children and adults. Three launch ramps provide access for launching your boat. Many types of rental boats are available, along with safety equipment.

Ozark Travel Park

Ozark Travel Park has received several awards and recognition. This may be due in part to the many unique and charming touches featured on the grounds, including a small water wheel, fountain, duck pond, quiet garden area and an ethanol still. The sites include Wi-Fi service and full hookups. A large camp store houses a game room, offers rocking chairs on the porch and comes stocked with RV supplies, ice and basic necessities. A propane station lets you fill up on site. The grounds provide a fenced pet area and a swimming pool. The RV park is 24 miles northwest of Dothan and only 4 miles from Sam Dale Park. Sam Dale sits adjacent to Dale County Public Lake, where travelers can find rental boats or take their own watercraft out onto the lake. Boating requires a permit and no swimming is allowed.
