Portland, Oregon, is a great location for your next base camp. Named the "Top Budget Travel Destination for 2010" by BudgetTravel Online, one trip to this city will show you this region's natural beauty and outdoor recreation possibilities, many of which stem from the Columbia River or the Mount Hood National Forest. The RV parks in the area are all close to nature, incorporating the northwest's natural evergreens, and a short distance to the next adventure.

Columbia River RV Park

Located just off of Interstate 5 on the Oregon-Washington border, this RV park sits right across Marine Drive from the Columbia River. The attraction to this campground is the Columbia River and the abundance of outdoor activities it offers. Kayaking the waters around Hayden Island, canoeing the Lower Columbia Slough or mountain biking along Marine Drive's Multiuse Path are all within 3 miles of the Columbia River RV Park.
