Located in northeast Minnesota, Chisholm has ample recreational opportunities. The town is home to the Minnesota Museum of Mining, Minnesota Discovery Center, Mesabi Bike Trail and the Fortune Bay Casino is less than 1 hour away. Giants Ridge offers visitors skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer and fishing and boating can be found on the edge of town at Longyear Lake.

Iron Trail Campground

The Iron Trail Campground is located at the Minnesota Museum of Mining and has RV and tent sites. It is pet-friendly and has storage, showers, restrooms, picnic tables, cable TV, laundry facilities, a dump station and store. The location is ideal for visiting the Museum of Mining and Iron World, and it is located within minutes of hiking and biking trails. RV sites have hookups for water, 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric.

Forest Heights

This RV park and campground is located 7 miles south of Chisholm in the community of Hibbing. It has tent sites, RV sites and mobile homes for temporary and extended visits. The campground is pet and family friendly and has showers, restrooms, shade trees and laundry facilities. RV sites have hookups for water, sewer and 50-amp electric. The location is ideal for visiting the area museums and is within minutes of hiking, biking, fishing and boating.

West Forty RV Park

The West Forty RV Park is less than 20 miles east of downtown Chisholm. The park has 60 sites for tents and RVs and is within a short drive of the Iron Range ATV Park, Ely Lakes, and the Mesabi Bike Trail. It has bathrooms, showers, a dump station, ATV wash, storage and a recycling program. The park offers visitors off-road access to the ATV park and saves the inconvenience of shuttling vehicles and trailers. RV sites have hookups for water, sewer, 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric.
