Two KOA campgrounds are within easy reach of Sonoma, its vineyards, wineries and scenery, and the Napa and Sonoma counties' many outdoor activities. A typical day might begin with early-morning birdwatching, end with an evening winery concert, and include a good hike, paddle, or even a balloon ride.

At this resort 140 campsites are situated on the beautiful 60 acres near Lake Sonoma, the Russian River and Warm Springs Dam. Kamping Kabins and Lodges can house those who lack an RV or tent. Without leaving the campground, you can restock propane and groceries, access the Internet, launder clothes or empty your sewer. Rent a paddleboat, go hiking or take your youngsters to a playground.

San Francisco North/Petaluma Campground

From this campground, you can make your way north to wine country or south to the Bay Area. It contains 394 sites on 60 acres and includes Kamping Kabins and Lodges as well as tent and RV sites. Visit the swimming pool, playground or petting farm. Services also include Internet and a coin laundry.

The wineries of Napa and Sonoma counties are within easy driving distance. Public, chauffeured tours depart daily from several Sonoma and Napa hotels, so no one in your party need refrain from partaking at tasting rooms, or you may arrange a personal tour through a local guide service. Such tours may include tasting room fees.
Hiking, kayaking, hot air ballooning, and antiquing will fill every moment of your stay.
