Advance, North Carolina, is a small community in the Winston-Salem area of the state. The Yadkin River runs near Advance. Canoeing, kayaking, tubing and fishing can be found on the river. The Pisgah National Forest is 1.5 hours to the west, and visitors to the forest can mountain bike, hike, rock climb and bird watch. RV travelers to the region will find several parks to choose from in the Advance area.

Lake Myers RV Resort has sites for large and small RVs. Water, sewer, cable TV and 30- or 50-amp electric connections are standard at each site. Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort. Guests can use the picnicking facilities, laundry room, playground, showers and bathrooms, swimming pools, guest pavilions and dump station. Pets are welcome but must stay leashed. The North Carolina Zoo is in nearby Asheville. There is kayaking, canoeing and fishing on the Yadkin River.

As the name suggests, there is bass fishing to be had on the lake at Bass Lake RV Resort and Campground. In addition to the fishing at the lake, there is canoeing and kayaking from the RV resort. The Bass Lake RV Resort has sites for large and small RVs. Site connections include water, sewer and 30- or 50-amp electric. Guests may use the barbecue stations, picnic facilities, guest house, showers, bathrooms, laundry room, dump station, swimming pool and game room. There is Wi-Fi available throughout the campground.
