Jellico, Tennessee, is a small town off I-75 just inside the state line with Kentucky. The Norris Reservoir system of lakes and Tennessee state parks, with their many opportunities for boating and fishing, are a short drive away. Hikers, climbers and mountain bikers, on the other hand, will need to travel narrow mountain roads to reach the trails of Daniel Boone National Forest and Big South Fork National Recreational Area.

Indian Mountain State Park

Situated in Jellico, Indian Mountain State Park has a campground of 49 tent and RV sites. Every site has water and electrical hookups, a barbecue grill and a picnic table. The 200-acre park is at the foot of Indian Mountain on reclaimed mining land. It offers a pair of small lakes for fishing and boating, as well as a pair of walking paths. Fireworks fans should note that while recreational fireworks are legal in Tennessee, and the state-line area around Jellico boasts a number of fireworks stores, their use in state parks is prohibited.
