Silver Bay, Minnesota Campgrounds
Located along the north shore of Lake Superior, Silver Bay is situated in a heavy forest area with dramatic cliffs into Lake Superior. The area is known for its recreational opportunities year-round including boating, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, biking, wildlife viewing and bird-watching. Travelers to Silver Bay have a number of campgrounds from which to choose.

Northern Exposure Campground

Located approximately two miles from Silver Bay, Northern Exposure campground is situated in a heavily wooded area and offers 58 sites with electric hookups. Open May to October, it features restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, a playground and on-site store and allows pets. Tent sites are also available in a separate area in the campground. Visitors typically enjoy fishing, boating, cross-country skiing and rock climbing.

Tettegouche State Park

Located four and a half miles northeast of Silver Bay, Tettegouche State Park is a Minnesota State Park situated on the north shore of Lake Superior. There are overlooks at Shovel Point, views of the cascading 60-foot High Falls of the Baptism River and rocky, steep cliffs and inland bluffs. It boasts miles of trails that overlook the Sawtooth Mountains, inland lakes for fishing, ice fishing and boating and is known for rock climbing and bird-watching. The on-site campground is open all year and has 28 sites, some with electric hookups, flush toilets and showers.

Wildhurst Lodge & Campground

Wildhurst Lodge & Campground is located on over 40 acres of wilderness approximately 20 minutes from Silver Bay. Open all year, it offers camping, lodging and RV hookups. Visitors can enjoy fishing nearby lakes and streams, snowmobiling from the lodge on over 1,000 miles of groomed trails, skiing at Lutsen Mountains, hiking, canoe trips and hunting.
