RV Parks in Kirksville, Missouri
Kirksville Missouri is home to Thousand Hills State Park, Sugar Creek State Forest and Truman University. Kirksville has nine public parks which include picnic tables, swimming pools, playgrounds and ball fields. A farmer's market is held every Saturday morning June through August. Concerts are held on the courthouse lawn each Friday night in the summer months.

Thousand Hills State Park

Thousand Hills State Park has 57 RV sites, 32 of which have electrical hookups. Many of the sites can be reserved in advance, but one third of them are on a first come, first served basis. Amenities include showers, restrooms, drinking water, fire pits, playground, picnic tables and grills. The park has many attractions, such as the 573-acre Forest Lake with its marina and beach. A shelter displays the park's Native American petroglyphs that are over 1,500 years old. Activities within the park include boating, hiking, biking, fishing, backpacking and dining. Boat, kayak and canoe rentals are available.

Lakeroad Village RV Park

The Lakeroad Village RV Park offers water, cable TV, full hookups, laundry and shower facilities. A badminton court and a sports field are available. Lakeroad Village is located near the Wooden Nickel, a favorite restaurant among locals. Their specialty is smoked barbecue pork ribs. Woody's bar is located within this restaurant and is popular among campers for food, drinks and entertainment.

Nemo Fairgrounds

The Nemo Fairgrounds has 70 RV sites with 30-amp hookups and gravel drives. Restrooms, showers, horseshoe pits, picnic areas and a sanitary dump site are provided. The Northeast Missouri Fair is held here each July, and the campground is open May through December.
