The Best RV Parks in Jackson, WY, Area
Jackson, Wyoming, is a mid-size community at the base of the Teton Mountains. Outdoor recreation abounds in the area surrounding Jackson. Teton Village has lift-access skiing, and within Jackson there is Snow-King ski area, with lift-access slopes right from town. Hiking, mountain biking, and backpacking can be found in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. RV travelers looking for good RV parks in Jackson and environs have several options.

The Virginian

The Virginian Lodge and RV Park is located on Broadway Avenue in Jackson. The location is central to bars, restaurants and shopping and is near the Jackson Town Square. In addition to the convenient location, The Virginian or "Virg" as it is known to locals, has a range of amenities. Bathrooms, showers, guest house with laundry, lounge, bar, and steakhouse are on the premises for guests to use and enjoy. Pets are allowed if leashed. Within a 30-minute drive is the Grand Teton National Park, Teton Village, and the trails at Snow-King.

The Jackson Hole/Snake River KOA is located on the Snake River, allowing for rafting, canoeing, kayaking and fly fishing right from the campground. RVs to 36 feet in length can be accommodated. Hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, and sewer. Pets are allowed if leashed. Bathrooms, showers and a laundry room are available for guest use. AAA and Good Sam discounts are offered to club members. The KOA's location makes it a convenient place to stage an exploration of the back country of Jackson. Hikers can drive to Grand Teton National Park and hike the Canyon Trail system.

Jackson Hole Campground

Jackson Hole Campground has a rural location between Jackson Hole and Teton Village. RVs of most sizes can be accommodated. There are the standard 30- and 50-amp electric, water and sewer connections at each site. Pets are welcome if leashed. Off-leash play for dogs is possible at the nearby river trail, by the bridge at Route 390. Hiking and mountain biking can be found within a 10-minute drive from the campground. Those looking for a casual walk can stroll the river trail, accessed from route 390. Trumpeter swans, foxes, coyotes, moose and eagles can be observed from the river trail. Rock-climbing routes and bouldering problems can be found in nearby Grand Teton National Park.
