RV Parks in Jellico, Tennessee
Jellico, is a small coal mining town in the Cumberland Mountains that straddles the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Visitors use the town as a base for exploring the southeastern portion of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky. Only one RV park exists in Jellico, but two more are located within a half hour when traveling south along Interstate 75.

Indian Mountain State Park

The Indian Mountain State Park Campground sits on a reclaimed strip mine at the base of the mountain that gives the site its name. Within the state park are two small lakes, several small ponds, walking trails and a boat-rental business. The campground provides 49 sites with paved pads and 30-amp connections. Modern bathhouses with restrooms and showers are available. There is also a swimming pool. The campground does not take reservations.

Ride Royal Blue

ATV lovers will want to park their RV at the Ride Royal Blue resort. The campground is adjacent to the Royal Blue Wildlife Management area, which possesses 430 miles of trails over 130,000 acres. Trail bikes, trail buggies and 4-wheel drive vehicles are among the options visitors can use to explore the area.
The campground has 31 full-hookup RV sites (30, 50 amps), and restrooms and showers are located throughout the campground. In addition, cabins and a tent-camping area are available. A southern breakfast and supper buffets are offered to campers in the restaurant located in the campground's main lodge. The restaurant also will prepare box lunches. The park is 17 miles south of Jellico.

Cove Lake State Park

Cove Lake State Park, located along Interstate 75 on the eastern edge of the Cumberland Mountains, draws visitors to a variety of outdoor activities. Trails through grasslands, forests and mountains area within five miles. Devil's Race Track offers a tremendous view after making a strenuous climb. Boat rentals are available, but private boats and gasoline engines are not permitted on Cove Lake. The state park provides 100 campsites, all of which have water and electric (30 amps). All can accommodate RVs as well as pop-ups and tent campers. Bathhouses and showers are throughout the state park. The campsite does not take reservations.
