Galveston Island State Park
Staying at the one of the 120 RV sites at Galveston Island State Park places you in the midst of an outdoor lover's theme park. Recreation here includes fishing for spotted seatrout, redfish, croaker and flounder. The park also offers a 4-mile hiking trail, boat ramp, 60 picnic tables and performances of Broadway musicals at the amphitheater. The RV sites include a picnic table, grill and fire ring, and are close enough to the beach to allow you to walk to the water. You can even bring your pet as long as it remains on a leash. The most important thing to remember about camping inside Galveston Island State Park is to bring your most effective bug repellent.
